The husband to be, boy child and girl child all loved it. Not exactly health food, but I guarantee everyone will eat it up and ask for more! Unfortunately we ate all my garlic bread before I could take a photo.Recipe Source: I kinda read a bunch of recipes and made it up.
Weight Watchers Pro Points: 2 pro points per serve (31 for the whole recipe)
Ingredients
- 400g dried penne pasta
- 25g butter
- 4 cloves garlic, crushed
- 1/2 bunch spring onions, chopped
- 200g mushrooms, sliced
- 125g bacon, chopped
- 300ml thickened cream
- 2 tbs chopped parsley
- 1/3 cup finely grated Parmesan
Directions
- Cook pasta according to packet directions.
- Meanwhile, heat butter in a large, deep frying pan over medium heat. Add garlic and cook for 1 min, until fragrant.
- Add spring onions, mushrooms and bacon and cook for about 4 mins, until softened.
- Add cream, stir through and reduce heat to low. Allow to summer for about 5 mins, until slightly thickened.
- Add pasta, Parmesan and parsley. Season and stir through. Serve immediately with salad and/or garlic bread.
